Yangon: Thailand claimed the last available slot at the 2017 AFC U-19 Women’s Championship after beating Myanmar 2-1 in Group C qualifying on Saturday to complete the eight-team line-up for the tournament to be held in China PR.

The Thais join Australia, Uzbekistan and Vietnam who all advanced to the finals thanks to their earlier respective qualifying campaigns, while Japan, DPR Korea, Korea Republic and China are direct entrants to the competition by virtue of their top-four finishes in the previous edition.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan downed Palestine 6-0 in Group C’s earlier match at Thuwunna Stadium but with only pride at stake.
