Dushanbe: A Club Development Licensing Workshop was held under the AFC Kick Off programme for clubs at the Tajikistan Football Federation (TFF) headquarters recently.

The workshop aimed to explain to national football league clubs the criteria, regulations, process, timelines and the importance of introducing and implementing a club licensing programme.

Fourteen participants from nine clubs attended the workshop where TFF officials led by its Vice President Dilshod Juraev were also present. Development Officer Yogesh Desai represented the AFC.

The workshop was conducted in two phases, with the first one held by Yogesh Desai touching on the Kick Off programme and other matters while TFF Club Development Manager Bobojon Kalandarov conducted phase two explaining, among other things, the club licensing regulations for the top league 2016 season.

The participating clubs expressed satisfaction over the explanation of the criteria and regulations and agreed that the regulations are a good development tool.

The entire process of providing a licence to all clubs will be completed by March 2016 and an assessment visit to the clubs will be undertaken in the summer of that year.

Another important area in which Kick Off will assist Tajikistan is infrastructure management, whereby the AFC Development Unit will be conducting an Infrastructure Management Workshop in the Central Asian nation in November 2015 which will involve government agencies and other important stakeholders.

The AFC Kick Off development programme focuses on raising the level of management of national leagues and participating clubs by providing tailor-made solutions to the MAs.
