Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) Executive Committee Member and Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee Chairman Datuk Mohd Yusoff Mahadi and FAM Futsal and Beach Soccer Committee Member Noor Azman Rahman .both attended the course's opening ceremony.

“I am pleased to see that futsal in Malaysia is moving forward but still there is more room to improve,” said Datuk Mohd Yusoff. “Education and training is the key to Malaysian futsal moving to the next level and quality coaches are extremely important.

“I’m thankful to AFC and FAM for consistently providing and approving coaching courses to develop more coaches in Malaysia, and I hope to see an increase in the number of coaches and players and develop potential local futsal instructors as well.”

Ali Targholizade, Director of the AFC Futsal and Beach Soccer Development Department, said: “Malaysia is one of the countries that has been actively organising AFC futsal coaching courses since 2013. I believe that Malaysia has so much potential and that the education courses will definitely improve coaches’ competency and develop more quality futsal players in the near future.

“There are more coaching programmes coming up in 2015, such as courses for the futsal goalkeeping coaching certificate and futsal fitness coaching certificate, in a bid to to develop coaches in these new areas of futsal coaching.”

The course is being conducted by AFC Futsal Coaching Instructor Chiew Chun Yong assisted by Mohamad Dali Wahid from the FAM.
