Kuala Lumpur: A FIFA/AFC Futsal Seminar on the FIFA Futsal World Cup 2012 legacy for Asia will kick off in the Malaysian capital on June 13.

AFC General Secretary Dato' Alex Soosay, Football Association of Malaysia General Secretary Lt. Gen. (Rtd) Dato’ Azzudin Ahmad and FIFA Head of Education and Technical Development Jurg Nepfer will be present during the opening ceremony to be held at the PJ Hilton Hotel on June 13 at 9am.

The event will provide a platform to exchange information in order to develop futsal in the continent and to update the coaches and instructors with the modern methodology in the five-a-side game.

The main objectives of the seminar are to analyse the performance of Asian teams at the 2012 FIFA FUtsal World Cup Thailand, compare their show with that of the top teams, discuss new trends in futsal and exchange information on latest trends.

The head coaches of the national futsal teams who took part in the AFC Futsal Championship 2012 finals and qualifiers and AFC Elite Futsal Instructors will take part in the seminar.

Top FIFA and AFC instructors will guide the participants while a tactician from FIFA Futsal World Cup runners-up Spain will delve into their development programmes, FIFA Futsal World Cup preparations and activities during the competition.
