LAHORE: The two simultaneous kick-off matches of Group A in the AFC President’s Cup, which were scheduled to be played on Monday, have been postponed to Tuesday due to heavy rains.
These two matches will now begin at 1200 hrs local time. Pakistan Army vs Bhutan’s Transport United will clash at the Punjab Stadium and the second simultaneous game between Tajikistan’s Regar-TadAZ and Sri Lanka’s Ratnam Sports Club will be played at the Railway Stadium.
The other scheduled fixtures for Tuesday – between Nepal's Mahendra Police Club and Cambodia 's Khemara at the Punjab Stadium and Chinese Taipei's Tatung and Kyrgyzstan's Dordoi-Dynamo at the Railway Stadium – remain undisturbed at 1530 hours local time.
Heavy downpour left the Railway Stadium ground waterlogged and since both the matches were to be played at the same time, the Pakistan Army-Transport United tie too per force had to be moved to Tuesday.
