MANAMA - Less than a week after their humiliating 3-0 defeat in the first leg of the AFC Cup final, Bahrain league champions Muharraq will be looking for avenge in Friday's second leg with a new tactical mind. The defeat in Amman last Friday prompted Muharraq's administration to show the door to the Brazilian coach Carlos Elinho and replace him with local tactician Khalifa Al Zayani. However, despite the upheaval, Muharraq are aiming to haul back as much of the deficit as possible and Al Zayani's hopes of securing an improbable result have been boosted with the return of Ibrahim Al Mishkhas and Mahmoud Abdulrahman from suspension. Midfielder Yousef Salmeen will miss the game due to injury but the newly installed coach remains optimistic. "There is no doubt that our job is difficult," said Al Zayani. "However, in football nothing is impossible. "Al Faisaly scored three goals in the first leg and we'll try to do the same here and use every minute of the second leg to reduce the deficit and then win the game." Al Zayani has had his team corralled in a closed camp for the two days leading up to the second leg as he aims to focus his players' minds on the clash at Bahrain National Stadium. Meanwhile, Al Faisaly coach Adnan Hamad had a positive outlook on his team's prospects in Manama, but also warned his players that any let up could allow the home side to pull off a surprise result. "We know that we are closer to winning the title," said the former AFC Coach of the Year. "But things aren't settled yet as there is a game to play. "Muharraq are a good side and they can have a good comeback especially because they are playing at home. "We hope that we can put on a good show that represents our performance as the reigning champions. That's why we'll not rely on the positive result that we've achieved back in Amman. "We'll play in a balanced way between defence and attack to fight for the first leg result, but our tactics may change depending on the conditions of the game." Hamad and his side arrived to Manama on Wednesday and they will have key duo Moayad Salim and Khaled Saed available after they missed the first leg due to suspension. "The return of Mouayad Salim and Khaled Saed will be a big bonus for the team as they are key players and the team will receive a big boost with their return from suspension," said Hamad.
