ZURICH: FIFA has extended the AFC ban on DPR Korea women’s team goalkeeper Hye Yong Han to have worldwide effect, covering all types of matches, including domestic, international, friendly and official fixtures.

The AFC Disciplinary Committee had imposed a one-year ban on Hye and also fined her USD 4,500 on September 6 for violent conduct and assault of the referee after the team’s AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2006 match against China in Adelaide on July 27.

Hye’s teammates Sonu Kyong-sun and Song Jung-sun were also banned by the AFC for four months each from representing DPR Korea in all official and friendly matches at the Asian level, and fined USD 3,000 each.
