DHAKA: The AFC Technical Study Group held a one-day workshop here on the sidelines of the AFC Challenge Cup for local coaches in which the state of football in Bangladesh and ways to improve it were discussed threadbare on Sunday.
More than 26 local club and national team coaches attended and actively participated in the workshop held at the Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) House. AFC Instructor Bader Abdul Jalil Shehab conducted the proceedings which kicked off with an evaluation of the football structure in the country before moving on to the principles of development and the importance of communication and coordination. “The participants were highly enthusiastic and the level of interest was very high,” Shehab told www.the-afc.com after the workshop. “But much needs to be done if there is to be all round development of football.”
“A comprehensive report will be prepared and submitted to the BFF for action to bring about the necessary improvements.”
