DUSHANBE: Vakhsh clinched the Tajikistan League title recently after drubbing Ravshan 3-1 away in the 18th and final round.

The champions were powered by two goals from Nazir Rizomov and another one by Atham Khamrokulov, who took his table-topping tally to 12 goals. This is Vakhsh’s second league title after 1997. Last year’s champions Regar-TadAZ are second on 41 points, six behind Vakhsh, and have no chance of catching up with the latter despite having a match in hand against Khima on November 12. Parvoz, who beat CSKA 2-0, finished third and, in other match, SKA Pamir thrashed Saroy Kamar 6-0.
