KATHMANDU: A mouthwatering clash between Tajik champions Regar TadAZ and Kyrgyzstan's Dordoi-Dynamo has set the perfect stage for the final of the inaugural AFC President's Cup on Saturday.
Both teams are expected to go into the encounter with all guns blazing though Regar's awesome form throughout the tournament gives them the pyschological edge. They have not lost a single match so far.
Dordoi-Dynamo have not been so impressive, losing once to lowly WAPDA of Pakistan and later just managing to oust home favourites Three Star Club in the semi-final shootout.
However, Dordoi captain Ruslan Sydykov was oozing confidence before the face-off. "We are fully prepared for the battle and my boys are mentally and physically fit," said Sydykov. Dordoi coach Mihail Tiagusov expects an offensive strategy to pay off. "We will see how the match goes for 15 minutes and then attack," said Tiagusov.
On the other hand, Regar coach Mahmadjon Habibuloev believes the prodigious talent in his side would make it easy for the Tajik club. "I am sure we will beat them because we have extremely talented players who love to play an attacking game," said Habibuloev.
