KATHMANDU: Nepal 's Three Star Club recorded their first victory in the AFC President's Cup beating Bhutan 's Transport United 2-1 in their Group A match here at the Dashrath Stadium on Friday. The hosts mounted attacks since the beginning and it paid dividends early when a Vishad Gouchan found the net on a rebound from inside the area in the 10 th minute of the game. Transport United's Pema Chopel netted an equaliser in the 37 th minute. In the very next minute, midfielder Bijay Gurung had an open chance but his shot was off the mark. Pradeep Maharjan scored the match-winner for Three Star in the 43 rd minute. He found the net on a rebound off a Santosh Shahukhala freekick. Three Star dominated the second half and made many beautiful moves after the restart but failed to score. The victory helped Three Star reach the second spot in Group A with four points. Tajikistan 's Regar TadAZ, who defeated Chinese Taipei's Taiwan Power Company 3-0 on Friday, lead the group with six points. In Group B matches on Saturday, Cambodia 's Hello United will face Pakistani club WAPDA at the Halchowk stadium, while Kyrgyzstan 's Dordoi-Dynamo will take on Sri Lanka 's Blue Star Sports Club at the Dashrath Stadium.
