| Easy draw for Korea Republic |
KUALA LUMPUR: Last editions semi-finalists Korea Republic were handed a relatively easy draw for the AFC U-19 Women’s Championship qualifiers on Thursday.
Twelve teams were divided into two groups of six each. Top two teams from each group and the best third place team will qualify for the Finals to be held next year.
Defending champions DPR Korea, runners-up Japan and third-placed China have been given direct entry into the tournament proper.
Korea Republic were drawn with Myanmar, Jordan, Philippines, Vietnam and Singapore in Group A while Group B includes Australia, Thailand, Chinese Taipei, India and new entrants Kyrgyzstan and Iran.
