SEOUL: An early second-half goal from Brazilian striker Dudu saw Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma edge current leaders Suwon Bluewings 1-0 in a top-of-the-table K-League clash on Sunday.
Seongnam’s 10th win helped reduce the gap on Suwon to three points and pull six clear of third-placed defending champions Pohang Steelers after the 15th round.
Dudu scored the all-important goal for the 2006 champions in the 49th minute.
In other matches, Chunnam Dragons had Adriano Chuva to thank for their 1-1 draw against Incheon United after the Brazilian scored a 32nd minute equaliser to neutralise Dzenan Radoncic’s 29th minute opener.
Jeju United drew goalless with Daejeon Citizen.
TOP FIVE STANDINGS (after 15th round): 1. Suwon 37, 2. Seongnam 34, 3. FC Seoul 28, 4. Pohang 23, 5. Ulsan 22
