DUSHANBE – AFC President’s Cup 2008 semi-finalists Regar-TadAZ slipped to their second defeat of the current Tajikistan league campaign when they went down 3-1 to Vakhsh.

Regar, the inaugural President’s Cup winners in 2005, took the lead two minutes before the break through Jamshed Ismoilov before two goals from Daler Tukhtasunov (53rd and 90th) either side of Yusuf Rabiev’s 64th minute effort consigned the defending Tajik champions to their second defeat of the season.

Regar, who take on Turkmenistan’s Ashgabat on September 19 in the AFC President’s Cup semi-final clash, are third in the table with 35 points, nine behind leaders Parvoz who have played two more games than the six-time league champions.
