BISHKEK – Dordoi Dynamo made it four wins out of four in the 2008 Kyrgyzstan League but the back-to-back AFC President’s Cup champions were made to work hard for their 1-0 win over Alay.
Dordoi, who will be looking to win their third successive continental title when the finals of the fifth edition of the AFC President’s Cup take place in September, were reduced to ten men just 26 minutes into their home clash with Alay.
However, despite their numerical disadvantage the reigning Kyrgyzstan champions were able to emerge from the match with their 100% record intact thanks to a 78th minute winner from skipper Ruslan Sydykov.
Dordoi are one of four teams locked on 12 points, with Sergey Dvoryankov’s side in second-place behind top-of-the-table Abdysh-Ata, who defeated previous leaders Neftchi 3-1 to claim pole position on goal difference.
