KUALA LUMPUR – Nine nations have confirmed their participation in the qualifying competition for the 2008 AFC Futsal Championship.

Contesting a place at the final tournament, which will be held in Thailand from May 10-18, are: Malaysia, third-place finishers at the 2007 AFF Futsal Championship; fellow South East Asians Indonesia, Vietnam and Brunei; Gulf nations Kuwait and Qatar; Chinese Taipei, the Maldives, and Macau, hosts of the 2004 AFC Futsal Championship.

The draw for the 2008 AFC Futsal Championship qualification is scheduled to take place at AFC House in Kuala Lumpur on February 21.
